1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using GeckoDeploy ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

GeckoDeploy is a free deployment service that helps GeckoAuthority users deploy GeckoPress blogs to their own infrastructure. The Service automates the process of setting up and configuring blogs on platforms like Netlify.

3. Eligibility

To use the Service, you must:

  • Have a valid GeckoAuthority account with an active Multi Auth Key
  • Have your own accounts with the required third-party services (e.g., Netlify)
  • Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your third-party API credentials
  • All content published on blogs deployed through our Service
  • Compliance with the terms of service of third-party platforms (Netlify, GitHub, etc.)
  • Ensuring your deployed blog complies with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Any costs incurred through third-party services (hosting fees, domain costs, etc.)

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to:

  • Deploy content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights
  • Distribute malware, spam, or engage in phishing activities
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Use automated tools to abuse or overload our Service
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Deploy content promoting violence, hate speech, or discrimination

6. API Credentials and Security

When you provide third-party API credentials (such as Netlify tokens):

  • We use these credentials solely to perform the requested deployment
  • Credentials are processed in memory and never stored permanently
  • You grant us temporary permission to act on your behalf with these services
  • You remain responsible for any actions performed using your credentials

7. Intellectual Property

GeckoDeploy and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Zeno Foundry and are protected by international copyright laws.

GeckoPress is open-source software. Your deployed blogs and their content remain your intellectual property.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Accuracy or reliability of any information obtained through the Service
  • Compatibility with third-party services

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GECKODEPLOY AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • Damages arising from your use of third-party services
  • Failures or interruptions caused by third-party service providers
  • Any damages exceeding the amount you paid for the Service (which is free)

10. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including but not limited to GeckoAuthority, Netlify, and GitHub. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for the actions, content, or policies of these third parties.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including:

  • Violation of these Terms of Use
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Abuse of the Service or its resources
  • Request by law enforcement or government agencies

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
